Good morning. I am so tired.
Organon - Exploration Systems
Gloriously deep and spacey techno from Ljubljana.
ADAD - No AC
Really lovely mournful house, heavy on the M1 and wavey synths.
Ian William Craig - A Forgetting Place
You should probably know this already, but I've only just discovered this release. Listened to it twice yesterday. Really forlorn, distorted vocals, like a decaying tape of a beautiful choral recital found in a dank mansion left to rot in a nuclear wasteland. He's got a new one due soon on Recital Program.
Chrononautz - Made In Time
It's been a while since these lads have featured here, but here they are again. A return to One Eyed Jacks, it's blistering as usual, but beautifully melodic too, somehow.
Svarte Greiner - Vapor (a Miasmah mix)
Despite being alerted to its existence some years ago in an interview with DjRum, I've still never listened to Svarte Greiner's Knive on Type (sorry John!). I know I should. In the meantime I've listened to this sublime mix for Headphone Commute several times. It's quite abrasive in its ambience, unwelcoming and off-putting but also cathartic.
sanitary (t)issues - 100 % Toilet Jam 2015 - 09 - 30
I won't lie. I've no idea about who or what this but they've got a load of weirdly strange and scuzzy tracks on their cloud. Enjoy.
CMD | Ice Daggers
Okay. Stefan Jós and DJBOYZCLUB appeared on Cyan's Modular Systems show (and played a wicked set, but it's not on any cloud). I went looking for more stuff from this presenter and found this release under the CMD guise for the Canadian Basic Sounds netlabel. It's on archive.org, but still streaming. I know this is stretching the parameters of the format but I really wanted to share it. It's deep and gurgling techno, but the tracks are novel in their brevity.
Deena Abdelwahed - #7#7#7 ---- Lelliri Ya Momba---
A few months old, this, but Deena Abdelwahed has just been announced as having won an open call to be premiered at next year's CTM, so check this out. It seems like Arabic-influenced electronics, not heavy enough to be techno, too weird to be house.
DJ Guy - Revival2 (recorded in 1999)
Fresh new oldness from DJ Guy, jungle madness kinda thing. Shared by Organic Analogue - does this mean they're putting out a new record from him? Here's hoping.
donny utah - mindscorpions
To close, some scant darkness from my man Donny.
Insert emotional closing speech here.
